What is LibreOffice?
LibreOffice is a free Open Source office suite which includes several applications designed to enhance your office productivity, including Writer (word processing), Calc (spreadsheets), Impress (presentations), Draw (vector graphics and flowcharts), Base (databases) and Math (formula editor).
How does it help in visualisation?
LibreOffice may be used to prepare spreadsheets, presentations, or other documentation to accompany your graphical visualisation and provide more background information for your audience.
Learning LibreOffice
You can learn more about the LibreOffice applications from the official project documentation. An up to date copy of LibreOffice is included in the Data Arena Virtual Machine (DAVM) so you can get up and running quickly.
How to display your document in the Data Arena?
The LibreOffice software suite is also installed in the Data Arena. Simply prepare your presentation in the DAVM (or a local installation of LibreOffice), and save your file to a downloadable location. Your document(s) may then be downloaded into the arena and loaded and displayed as normal.
