Hopefully this was a useful process in data mining—a method of carefully shifting visual parameters on the same data set to expose hidden details and provoke inquiry.
In the VEX code of our point wrangle node, we’ve manually entered the minimum and maximum temperature values that we’re expecting from our spreadsheet. This was fine because we had already worked out these values, however, if we were to process a number of locations and spreadsheets, it would be a time consuming process to re-evaluate the temperature scale. For an extra task, try automating this process. What script can you write to sort and examine all imported temperatures to return the coldest and warmest values?
